The A. purpurea is a favorite among the Avicularia species,found in tropical rainforest of Ecuador, where it typically makes funnel webshigh up in trees and is known to be abundant in populated areas, making webbingin locals dwellings on roofs and supports. Like most species in the genus they are incredibly docile and active, making them excellent display spiders, they require higher humidity with good ventilation. Adult purpurea in natural light are an iridescent purple, these are neat spiders and won't last long, reaching 5" as adults. Get yours before there gone!
