Brachypelma hamorii (ex smithi) / Mexican redknee
Aprox 1/2" unsexed spiderlings
The hamorii is considered an icon to the hobby and is probably not only of the most popular Brachypelma species, but also one of the most popular tarantulas out there. What is not to love, as they have a beautiful coloration with alternating bright red and orange striping on black legs and incredibly docile and long lived. Their mellow behavior and beauty has landed them roles in several Hollywood movies, where large cooperating spiders were needed on set. They are found in the deciduous forests of Southwest Mexico and are relatively easy to keep. No collection is complete without one of these beauties. Reaching 6”+ as adults.
